Now that I'm doing some color stuff, I thought I would try to do things that were hanging in local museums, so I could compare what I was doing with a pro. First is this detail of painting by Bouguereau. I saw the original last weekend and it's much different from my printout copy. I'll take one more stab on this one.
And this one, the first pass on a John Singer Sargent painting, "Italian Girl with Fan" from 1882. It's a close up of the head, as the painting is over 8 feet tall. I'm not accustomed to that scale yet.
