Head Study #74

Hello.  Tonight I present to you a watercolor from the British TV show "Allo Allo".  It's been so long I can't remember the character's name.  Anyways, I was playing around and thought I would try to paint with increasing value (darkness) with each color, yellow, orange, warm red, cool red, and finally purple.  First painting loosely at first and sharper with each change of color.  14.5 x 15" Arches

Head Study #73

This evening I present a strange copy of John Singer Sargent portrait of Mrs George Swinton (1897).  Previous paintings I started out in purple (the darkest color).  On this, I started out in yellow (the lightest color) and progressed to darker and darker colors just to see what it might look like.  (12 x 18")
