Tonight I post another Gibson Girl, this one from 1916.

Well, it looks like I'm now extending this to Charles Dana Gibson, an illustrator working about the same time as John Singer Sargent. This is a duo tone of the picture "The Day Dream", 1909. I think it works better if I keep it light.

Tonight I present another on of those colorized John Singer Sargent charcoal drawing of Mrs Reginald Grenville Eves, 1912. The color is Cobalt blue (PB28). I don't think it works with a dark background.

Tonight I present a monocrome (Cobalt Blue, PB28) copy of a John Singer Sargent charcoal drawing of Ethyl Barrymore, 1903. I messed up on her chin. Or I made her mouth too big. It looks alright for a random person, but it doesn't look like Ethyl at all. And I'm getting better at taking photographs at different stages.

Tonight I present a colorized (Cobalt Blue, PB28) of a John Singer Sargent charcoal portrait of Katharin Horner, 1907. This is more in the direction I want to go.

Sorry about forgetting to photograph the sequence. Today I present a monochrome (Cobalt Blue PB28) of a John Singer Sargent charcoal drawing of Mrs George Swinton, 1905. I thought it was an easy lifting color, but I couldn't erase my set up lines, which are visible on the top side of the head. Oohps.
